WANAMINGO -- The funeral for Linda Mae Arndt will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, with the Rev. Wayne D. Schoch officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Red Wing.
Mrs. Arndt, 58, of rural Wanamingo, died Sunday (Dec. 17, 2006) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Linda Mae Betcher was born May 13, 1948, in Lake City. She grew up on a farm near Belvidere in Goodhue County and graduated from Red Wing High School in 1966. She then moved to Red Wing, where she worked at the Goodhue County National Bank. In February 1976 she married Thomas Arndt at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Red Wing. The couple moved to Minneola Township, near Wanamingo, where they farmed. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, served on the Ladies Aid and volunteered at the public school. She enjoyed traveling with her family.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Daniel, and a daughter, Rachel, both of rural Wanamingo. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel in Zumbrota, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Lupus Foundation or Christ Lutheran Church.
