Susannah lived with her mother and step-father Thomas Smith in Leicester, England before marrying a George Moore in 1861. He died and she came to Utah in 1872. She married Edward H. Mitchell in 1877 in Salt Lake City. She was murdered by her husband Edward H. Mitchell.
