Roger Ashworth
Roger Dale Ashworth, 61, of Merryville, died Friday, April 21, 2006, in the home of his sister.
He was a native of DeQuincy and had lived in Houston, Tex. most of his life before moving to Merryville 10 years ago. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on the river. He had been a welder for many years.
Survivors include his stepfather, Joe Monceaux of Lufkin, Tex.; three daughters, Deborah Hollie and husband, James of Starks, Donna Sargent and husband, Robert of Moss Bluff, and Danna Johnson and husband, Don of Starks; two sisters, Jackie Saucier of Sulphur and Patsy Perkins of DeQuincy; seven grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; and special family in Merryville Junction.
His funeral was held Monday, April 24, in HixsonSulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Shields officiated. Burial was in Big Woods Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.mem.com.
