Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years Walter Doll; and her six children and their significant others, Jeffrey and Dale Doll, David and Jill Doll, Daniel and Dorothy Doll, Andrew and Daria Doll, Linda and Erich Cluxton, and Mary Ellen Doll and John Casey; her eight grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle Doll, Amy and Phillip Hartman, Scott Doll, Elizabeth and Shelby Joy, Eva and Jan Lehmbeck, Walter Doll, Hadley Cluxton, and Reed Cluxton; and by her seven great-grandchildren, Dustin Doll, Felicia Hartman, Justus Joy, Kira Hartman, Josiah Joy, Vanessa Hartman, and Jonah Joy. Mary is also survived by her sister, Thelma King and her husband Robert of West Willington; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as a host of lifelong friends. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Charles V. "Bud" Conrad, Jr..
Her family will always remember her as an "Earth Mother" because of the warm and wonderful way that she welcomed all of their friends into her life and her home with the gifts of hospitality and unconditional love. Being around Mary made one certain that they were the center of her universe.
A calling hour will precede the service on Tuesday from 11-12 Noon in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St, Westerly, RI, followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 12 Noon. Interment will be in River Bend Cemetery, Westerly, RI. Published in The Hartford Courant on Oct. 21, 2002.
