Lorena passed from this life and started her new Life in Heaven on Novmeber 21, 2003. She was born of six children to Charlie Lohman and Ellen Sylvester Lohman on July 12, 1916 in Travis County. At the age of 8 her father moved the family to Bishop, Texas in covered wagons. She was blessed in later life to experience the many advancements in transportation when with her sister Bessie they flew to Europe, traveled the U.S.A. by train and with life long friend Iva Bell Detrich, she saw Alaska by cruise ship. She marveled and enjoyed the beauty God made. As a young teenager the family moved back to central Texas. While walking to school she met a neighbor, Harvey Hammack. Bessie immediately began teasing her about the good looking guy. Harvey and Lorena married and had 48 happy years together before he was taken to his heavenly home suddenly one Sunday evening after services at church. After spending 8 years alone, her nephew, Donald Bryan, introduced her to a lonely widower, Ellison LeBleu. She showed her strength once again when at the age of 73 she and Elison were married and she relocated to his home in Rising Star,Texas. During their 12 years together they traveled and she quickly won the hearts of many new and dear friends. Ellison passed from this life in July 2001.

Lorena was also preceded in death by two brothers, Owen and O. B. Lohman; two sisters Lula Wieland and Iona Carlson. She is survived by her youngest sister, Bessie Bryan Allen and husband George of Charlottsville, Virginia; two daughters, Dorothy Peterson and husband Alton of Marble Falls, Texas and Melba Wages of Eagle Nest, New Mexico; two loving step daughters, Janice Ross and husband Pete of Brownwood, Texas and Joan LeBleu of Graham, Texas; four grandsons, Randall Peterson and wife Gwendolyn of Austin, Texas, Elton Williamson and wife Denise and their daughter Brooke of Missouri City, Texas, Chris Peterson and wife Gwenda of Daphne, Alabama and his sons Scott and David Perterson and their mother Laura DeBose of Lufkin, Texas and Kenneth Williamson and his wife Susan and their children Kenna and Coleman of Columbus, Georgia, also many nieces, nephews and friends.

Words can not express our thanks to the Church of Christ at 4th and Stewart in Brownwood for the prayers and visits too numerous to count during her many stays in the hospital and to her friends and loving care-givers at C. A. R. E. Inc/ in Early. THANK YOU

Funeral service was November 24, 2003 at Leander Church of Christ with Mr Roy Smalling officiating. Interment followed at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, Texas, under the direction of Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home Georgetown, Texas.......Obituary provided by Billie Blackstock.
