CLARENDON - Malinda Lou Tubb Brown, 60, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Clarendon Church of Christ with Roger Todd, Church of Christ minister from Mangum, Okla., and Don Stone, Church of Christ minister from Clarendon, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Brown left this life on Earth for the promised home in Heaven on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006.

Mrs. Brown was born July 23, 1946, in Needles, Calif., to Woodrow and Lois South Tubb. She married Jerry Lynn Brown on April 16, 1965, in Oildale, Calif. Malinda and Jerry made Amarillo their home for the next 30 years and were residents of Stroud, Okla., before moving to Donley County four years ago. Besides being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and daughter, Malinda enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, gardening and serving others. Throughout her life and illness, Malinda never wavered in her faith and love of Jesus. She was an active member in Church of Christ in both Amarillo and Clarendon. Malinda was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Malinda's family would like to thank the Veterans Administration Oncology Department and the BSA Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Amory, Miss.; a daughter, Bobbie Renee Gallegos and husband Carlos of Amarillo; two sons, Michael Lynn Brown and wife Lynne of Slaton and Jeremy Tait Brown and wife Alyssa of Minneapolis; two sisters, Charlotte Gann of Amory and Carolyn Gaskell of Fayetteville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Malinda was also mom to 23 foster children.

The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
