Buck A, McElroy

Buck A. McElroy, 79, of 6468 Washington St., Yountville, died Thursday at Queen of the Valley Hospital.

Mr. McElroy was born June 2, 1901, in Kansas and in 1945 came to Richmond where he owned and operated a tool and die machine shop. Mr. McElroy and his wife came to Yountville 10 years ago.

Her married his wife, Mary McElroy, in Kansas City, Kan., 48 years ago.

He was a member of Richmond Eagles Lodge No. 354; El Cerrito Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, No. 705, and Sons In Retirement (SIRS) of Napa.

Survivors include his wife Mary of Yountville; his son, . . . ; three daughters, . . . ; three brothers, Bill of Garden City, Kan., Glen of Lamar, Mo., and Harold of Edwards, Mo.; a sister, Violet Smith of Garden City, Kan.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home.

The Rev. H. Wesley VanDelinder and members of Yount Lodge No. 12 of the Free and Accepted Masons of Napa will officiate.

Entombment will follow at Tulocay Cemetery.

Contributions to the Masonic Home, c/o Yount Lodge No. 12, Napa, are preferred.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon Sunday.
