Wife-Mary E Humphrey-born about 1851 in Michigan to Chancey and Harriett Humphrey. She married Daniel W. Whitman in Morenci, Lenawee County, Michigan on 4 February 1872. She and Daniel were divorced 3 March 1895 in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan. She married Benjamin English in 1896, and he died in 1909 in Wayne County, Michigan. In 1910 Mary moved to Adams County, Washington with her brother Albert Humphrey. In 1920 Mary lived with her brother Albert still, but they moved to Coos County, Oregon. Her son, William D. Whitman lived with them also and he is listed as age 45. Mary died 13 December 1920 in Coos County, Oregon.
