Son of the late William H. and Sudie D. Turner Adams. He ws the founder of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at Sikeston and had served as pastor for 16 years at Matthews Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by is wife, Vernell Savage of the home. They married October 21, 1950, at Bay.
Other survivors include two sons, Eugene Adams of Sikeston and David Adams of Dexter, MO; and one daughter, Marsha Davis of Sikeston. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, George Admas of St. Louis, Wilma Hamilton of Bay and Opal Shaw of Vilonia; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one greaaaat-granddaughter.
