Rozella M. "Rosie" Giddens
Rosie Giddens, age 77, of Tulsa formerly of Sand Springs went to her heavenly home on Sunday evening, November 26, 2006 in Tulsa.
Rosie was born on January 9, 1929 in Chanute, Kansas the daughter of Katherine and Eugene Varndell. She grew up in Kansas and graduated from Vilas High School. Following her schooling she was united in marriage to Charles Giddens and they moved to Turley. Mr. Giddens preceded her in death in 1988. She moved to Sand Springs during the 1990's to care for her daughter Susan Scott. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sand Springs and was a retired office manager of Koch Industries. She enjoyed playing bunco, spending time with her family, being a greeter at St. Patrick's and activities at the Sand Springs Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by a sister, Ellen Conklin and husband Gary of Grove; a sister-in-law, Mary Varndell of Chanute, Kansas; a brother, Joe Varndell and wife Susie of Chanute, Kansas; two grandchildren, Dana Justus and husband Jody of Tulsa and Chuck Scott of Skiatook.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Susan Scott and a brother Bob Varndell.
Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sand Springs with Father Martin Morgan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service of Sand Springs.
