Children:
Susan M Crouch b 1839 m Oct 20 1856 Daniel S Holcomb. She died Jan 2 1884. Killed herself (force fed rat poison). Rumored that she didn't want to testify against her husband who was arrested for the murders of her family. Coroner couldn't prove anything more than her heart gave out.
Ethel Crouch b July 1840 d Oct 2 1844 at age 4 years
Bryon Crouch b Oct 15 1842 moved to and died in Texas
Dayton J Crouch b Nov 24 1846 d Jan 1882 in Ft Worth Tx (shot to death). Another article said he died of typhoid.
Eunice Crouch b May 15 1850 m Oct 12 1881 Henry Wm White in Jackson MI. d Nov 22 1883 shot to death. was pregnant at the time of her death. Husband was killed at the same time.
Judson Crouch b Dec 26 1859 m 1888 Viola Morrell d 1946 Jackson MI. Judson Crouch was also arrested with his brother in law for the murder of his family.

RUMOR was that Jacob Crouch was cutting Judd, Susan & Daniel Holcomb out of his will. Judd had been living with his sister Susan & Daniel Holcomb.

By the time the sheriff got to the murder scene the evidence had been trampled by all the people who got there to gawk and be amateur detectives. The jury couldn't convict Daniel Holcomb or Judd Crouch. Daniel Holcomb later moved to Baraboo Co WI, married another woman named Crouch and died in WI.
