Paulette Baines, beloved daughter of the late Jake Sr. and Maggie Baines, was born on February 15, in Wilson, North Carolina. Paulette was diagnosed with Cancer on November 24, 2002 and at 9:22 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2003 the Cancer over came her body, and God silently called Paulette into Eternal Rest.
Paulette was baptized at an early age at the First Baptist Church in Wilson, North Carolina. Paulette received her education at Franklin K. Lane in Brooklyn, New Your. After completing High School, Paulette was employed as a Home Attendant.
In 1983 Paulette started a new life in Baltimore, Maryland with her three children. Paulette was employed as a Certified Home Health Care Professional at Fallston Hospital in Fallston, Maryland.
Paulette was a member of the Black Panthers in the early 1970's. Paulette's greatest achievement was raising her three children. Educating them and teaching them to love one another and to stand together as a family.
Paulette leaves to cherish her loving memories; two sons, Maurice and Jamel Baines, Edgewood, Maryland; one daughter, Cornelia Baines, Edgewood, Maryland; four brothers, John, Queens, New York, Willie, Baltimore, Maryland, Charles, Havre de Grace, Maryland and Chris, Goldbora, North, Carolina; four sisters Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, Lillie, Queens, New York, Jackie and Helen, Aberdeen, Maryland; one grandson, Cornell Derrick Dixon, Ft. Drum, New York; one son-in-law, William Derrick Dixon, Ft. Drum, New York; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
