GALLUP — Services for Carmen Baca, 74, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 10, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Father Mike Vigil will officiate. Burial will follow at Gallup City Cemetery.

Baca died Nov. 6 in Gallup. She was born April 1, 1929, in Allentown, Ariz.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., today at Rollie Mortuary.

Baca retired from Gallup McKinley County Schools as head cook. She was a volunteer for the VFW, and a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Survivors include her husband, Joe S. Baca of Gallup; son, Joe Baca Jr. of Denver; daughter, Theresa Ortiz of Gallup; sister, Aurora Foxx of Enfield, Conn.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Baca was preceded in death by her parents, Maria de Jesus and Teleforo Esparza; daughter, Helen Olguin; sisters, Elsie Chavez, Thomasa Chavez and Lecha Esparza; and brother, Charles Esparza.

Pallbearers will be Henry Baca, John Chavez, Raymond Esparza, Ronnie Leyba, Ryan Leyba and Brett Saucedo.
