Bessie J. Adams, 85, of Ozark, died July 2 1988 at the Springfield Hillhaven Convalescent Center. Services for Mrs. Adams were held Tuesday at the Harris Chapel, Ozark, with the Rev. Jerry Cox officiating. Burial was in the Ozark Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Ozark, Mrs. Adams was a member of the Victory Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, in 1980, and by a daughter, Wilda Arlene, at birth in 1929.
Survivors include one son, Elwyn Adams, of Peculiar; one stepson, Jay Durward, of Wenatchee, Washington; one grandson; six step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ona Haslip, Springfield.
