Enlisted as a private March 4, 1862 in the 50th Georgia Infantry, Company K, CSA. Wounded, left shoulder and right arm permanently disabled, and captured at South Mountain, Md. September 14, 1862. Paroled at Fort McHenry, Md. and sent to Fortress Monroe, Va. for exchange in 1863. Received at City Point, Va. April 12,1863. Roll for February 28,1865, last on file, shows him absent, sick in Brooks County, Ga. No later record.
