Born September 22, 1881, Courtney Elizabeth Jones was the daughter of Prettyman and Louisa Cuttrell Jones. Sometime between 1900 and 1910, she married Hugh Franklin Boatright, a marriage which would produce seven children. Their children were Lloyd F. Boatright, Ruby Boatright, Leamon Oral Boatright, Jewel Boatright Hancelman, Hugh W. Boatright, Bessie L. Boatright Downing, and Jannie Boatright. She lost her husband in 1959. Seven years later, on March 16, 1966, she went to join him.
