Mary Ann Anderson, 77, of New Kensington died Sunday (Aug. 18, 2002) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison.

Born Sept. 14, 1924, in Jeannette, she lived in the Kinloch section of Lower Burrell most of her life.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of Lower Burrell Wesleyan Methodist Church and a former social member of Upper Burrell Fire Department.

She enjoyed puzzle books, bingo, jigsaw puzzles and knitting latch hook rugs.

Survivors include two sons, Harry "Sonny" (Mary Jane) Anderson of Tarentum and George Anderson of Alliance, Ohio; five daughters, Mrs. Grace (Dale) Lee of O'Hara, Mrs. Ada (Wayne) Carson of New Kensington, Mrs. Margaret "Peg" (David) Beattie of Lower Burrell and Mrs. Rose "Dolly" (Kenny) Taylor and Patricia Lattanzie, both of Arnold; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Steinman of Warren, Jake Steinman of Florida and Herman Steinman of Tionesta; and three sisters, Ann Adams of Indiana, Pa., Katherine Coy of Union City and Betty Allison of Clymer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. "Bud" Anderson Sr.; a daughter, Mary Louise Clowes; two granddaughters, Laurie Ann Dollman and Elizabeth Louise Carson; her parents, John and Carrie Stadam Steinman; two brothers, John Steinman Sr. and Aaron Steinman; and two sisters, Margaret Streussnig and Emily Waltimire.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME, LTD.,217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. Co-officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Teddy S. Zeigler, and former pastor of her church, the Rev. Harry F. Miller. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
