John A. Allcock, 73, of 5937 Washington Blvd., died Friday at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. Born 15 August, 1916, in Ashtabula, he was the son of John and Grace (Denslow)Allcock and was a lifelong Ashtabula resident. Mr. Allcock was an employee of the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. for 38 years, serving as a senior electrical tester of CEI's eastern district. He also taught school for four years after graduating from college. He was a graduate of Kingsville High School and Kent State University. He was a member of the Saybrook United Methodist Church, the Rising Sun Lodge 22 F & AM, the Lodge Council Chapter; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland and El Kadir Grotto. Survivors include his wife, Winifred (Lillie) who her married 30 September 1939; two daughters, jeanette Orlando and Elaine Willis both of Ashtabula, two sons, Arden A. and John E. both of Ashtabula; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three sisters; Lucille Fishback and Lillian Fish, both of Clermont, Florida and Leona Keller of Leesburg, Florida.
