Husband of Mary, Married 27 February 1922

Henry J. Achter, 72, of R. 2, Chilton, died early Friday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton where he had been a patient six days.
Born in the town of Stockbridge, May 2, 1889, he was a son of the late John and Barbara Wirth Achter. He farmed in the town of Brothertown his entire life. On Feb. 27, 1922 he married the former Mary Wettstein at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Kloten.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Leander, Chilton and Louis at home; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Hildegarde) Boehnlein, R. 2, Chilton; six grandchildren and a great grandchild, and a brother, John, New Holstein.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton and at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton, the Rev. James Vennix, pastor, celebrant of the Mass. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
