Son of William M. and Marinda (Black) Faubion. Born in Williamson County, Texas on September 9, 1871 and died there on November 22, 1953. He married Jennie Eliza Wiley on March 23, 1895. They had two children, William Elmo "Bill" Faubion (born September 19, 1904 and died May 13, 1963) and Thelma Lucile Faubion (born November 20, 1908).

Frank was a prominent farmer and rancher in the Leander area and lived on the same farm nearly all of his life. An article that appeared in the October 10, 1937 edition of the Austin American Statesman newspaper described Frank as "a wiry, alert man, tanned by the sun and the wind . . . He is a true son of the soil."
