Mary Edna Murphy was born March 12, 1925, to James and Goldie (Collins) Murphy in Harriman, TN. She grew up and attented school there and began working in a hosiery factory there, too.
Mary Edna was united in Marriage to Paul James Craig at Lawton, OK. The couple moved to Atwater, MN in May 1946, where they lived until 1950, when they moved to Breckenridge, MN.
In 1962, they moved to a farm north of Breckenridge, where they lived for five years before purchasing a farm at the seven corners.
Mary Edna worked as a cook at Kelly's Restaurant from 1967 until 1976. Paul preceeded her in death on Oct. 1, 1977. Mary Edna continued living on the farm until 1982, when she moved in with her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Kelly, and resided with them in several southern states.
In 1990, Mary Edna returned to Breckenridge where she lived for nine years, then moved to Pensacola, FL. and lived with her daughter, Donna, for a year,, before moving back to Breckenridge in 2000.
She enjoyed gardening, playing Rummikub and Bingo.
She had seven children, Beverly, John, Donna, James, Susie, Alice and Mary, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
