Alice was the daughter of Jack Porter and Elisa Coigny.

Her father came to the Dorsey Ranch from the Dakota Territory. Her mother was the first postmaster of Grenville, NM.

She graduated from Clayton High School, 1910.

She married Oscar Glen Blake on February 26, 1912. He preceded her in death in 1931.

In 1931 her brother, Fred, disappeared in Amarillo, TX following the funeral of her husband.

Her sister, Mary, preceded her in death in 1946 and her brother, John, passed while enlisted in the U. S. Army when he was 23 years of age.

She is survived by son, Oscar, Roswell, NM and daughter, Mrs. Edd Morse, Security, CA.
