SWEETWATER — Ouida Agnes Johnston Moore, 82, of Wilmington, DE., formerly of Sweetwater, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Wilmington, DE.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sweetwater with Reverend Mark Metzger officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sweetwater, Texas.

Ouida was born on July 25, 1922 in Eskota, Texas. She married Jesse Carl Moore on June 2, 1943 in Eskota. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Upper Room Sunday School Class. She graduated from Eskota High School in 1939, from Texas Tech in 1943 with a B. S. in Home Economics. She also received her Masters degree from State University of New York at Albany in 1968. She was a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron and was a member of the Rolling Plains Unit of Texas Retired Teachers Association, and the B.H. of P.E.O. Sisterhood.

She represented all 4-H girls clubs of Texas at the National 4-H convention in Washington, DC in 1940. She lived in Schenectady, NY; Houston, TX; and Eskota before back to Sweetwater. She taught Home Economics and retired from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake I.S.D., NY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Moore, May 30, 1994 and a son John Clinton in 1946.

She is survived by: two sons, Frank Moore of Trent, TX, and Andrew Moore and wife, Carolyn of Trent; two daughters, Carla Young of Wilmington, DE, and Gwen Kelaidis and husband Panayoti of Denver, CO; sister, Roberta Starkey and husband, John of Trent; six grandchildren; five great grand- children; two sisters-in-law, Estelle Olson of Denver, CO; and Viola Nolan of Oak Ridge, TN; a cousin, Lettie Hamner of Trent.
