Ethel M. Bargerstock, 84, of Harrison died Monday (July 22, 2002) in the home of her daughter in Arnold, where she lived for five months

Born May 9, 1918, in Tarentum, she lived in Harrison most of her life.

Mrs. Bargerstock was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Harrison.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, writing in her journal and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Samuel S. Bargerstock Jr. of Buffalo Township and Frederick R. Bargerstock of Harrison; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia L. (Dale) Gregg of Arnold; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a brother, David Carney of Springdale; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy (Chester) Pokusa of New Kensington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel S. Bargerstock, Sr.; a daughter, Alma Marie Carlisle; her parents, Clark A. and Anne Harris Carney; three brothers, Frank, Alfred and Robert Carney; and five sisters, Florence McAllister, Betty Dixon, Jennie Sieradski, Mildred Brucker and Ruth Wells.

Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 10th Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, where services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. Her pastor, the Rev. Lee A. Moore, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
