Mr. Acton, 79, died Dec. 16, 1999, in Florence. He was a sign maker for the Parks and Recreation District for Colorado Springs. Mr. Acton was born Feb. 13, 1920 in Columbia, Mo. He was married July 7, 1941, to Leona "Maxine" Whitelaw, who is deceased. He is survived by two sons, Curtis and Terry; two daughters, Susan Prom and Loy Bellis; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wilson Andrews Memorial Chapel, 1449 S. Ninth St., Canon City, (719) 275-3372. Inurnment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, 1008 Elm Ave., Canon City.
