Sue was a mother, wife, seamstress, crafter, quilter, photographer, school volunteer, Girl Scout leader and board member, co-owner of the Crescent City Greyhound Bus Depot, attendee at the Calpine Water Board meetings, often reminding them of Parliamentary procedure, member and longtime Mission Committee secretary of St. Nicholas’ Episcopal Church, Tahoe City, and member and secretary of the Cabin Fever Quilt Guild, Portola. The Quilt Guild became Sue’s second family, for there she found fellowship, friendship and a means of expressing her tremendous creativity.
Sue was preceded in death by parents John and Nancy Atwill, sister Mary Atwill Baker, son Frank A. Cline, and husband John E. Cline. She is deeply missed by brother John (Jack) Atwill and his wife Laura Hull, daughter Deborah Cline Knochenhauer, husband Mark Knochenhauer, granddaughters; Giguette and Gillian Knochenhauer, daughter Nancy Cline Wright and husband John Wright, one niece, six nephews, and many, many friends.
Sue was a great supporter of organizations that help and protect animals and nature.
