GRANTS — Services for Earnest Williams, 82, will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 17 at Laguna Acoma Baptist Church. Pastor Richard Delores will officiate. Burial will follow at Casa Blanca Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., today at Grants Mortuary Chapel.

Williams died May 13. He was born May 15, 1920 in S'hongopavi, Ariz.

Williams was employed as a cook at Fort Wingate. He served in the U.S. Navy and was Pow Wow Arena Director.

Survivors include his sons, Earnest Williams of New Laguna and Rudford E. Williams and four sisters.

Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Williams; parents, William Kawanvema and Hennie Hononie Kewanvema; brothers and four sisters.
