On Wednesday; December 22, 1937 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Beals at the First Christian Church in Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa. She was a member of the Colfax United Methodist Church. Margaret was also active in the Grange. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Margaret "Mugs" (Leonard) Beals, age 89 of Colfax, Iowa passed away on Sunday; October 8, 2006 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her daughter: Brenda & her husband: Michael Gannon of Colfax, Iowa. Her two grandchildren: Joshua & his wife: Angela Gannon of Littleton; Douglas County, Colorado and Shane & his wife: Autumn Gannon of Hudson; Saint Croix County, Wisconsin. Her four great grandchildren: Camille, Kade, Tristan and London and her two step great grandchildren: Hailey and Jadyn Spencer. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: Robert on Sunday; October 17, 2004. Her grandson: Josiah "Poe" in 1995, two brothers and a sister. May they rest in peace. Visitation for Mrs. Beals will be held on Wednesday; October 11, 2006 from: 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday; October 12, 2006 at the Colfax United Methodist Church with Interment following at McKeever Cemetery.
