Obermann, 97, died Wednesday Jan. 27, 1993, at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 1, 1895, at Dutchtown. son of Henry and Mary Mier Obermann.
He and Adela M. Schneider were married April 14, 1921.
Obermann farmed in the area most of his life and was employed by Little River Drainage District from 1920-73.
He was a lifelong member of the former St. Edward's Catholic Church here. and current member of Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife: two sons, H.W. Obermann of Chesterfield, Russell Obermann of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter. three brothers and three sisters.
