MILDRED LUCILLE COCHRAN Mildred Lucille Cochran, 79, of Laurel, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Care Center of Laurel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at First Baptist Church of Myrick, with burial in Myrick Cemetery in Jones County. The Rev. Jimmy Hill will officiate. She was retired from Walters Furniture as a clerk and was a member of First Baptist Church of Myrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Cochran. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kenny R. and LaDonna Cochran of Laurel; one brother, the Rev. Charles Holifield of Hoover, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Amber Cochran and Warren Cochran. Pallbearers will be Frank Lovette, Eddy Ingram, Jerry Holifield, Jack Holifield, Edwin Strickland and James Byrd. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday. Visitation will be held from 5-8:30 p.m. today, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
