Jennie Maria Andrews was born Jorgine Marie Danielson on the 13th of May 1861 in Alta, Finnmark, Norway to Lars Christopher Danielson, a sea captain and Sophia Johanna Persdotter-Norgen of Sweden. She was the 12th of 13 children. Sometime in 1866 they immigrated to the United States through Canada settling in Hyde Park, Cook Co., Illinois. On the 9th of September 1880 she married John Reinhold Andrews in Hyde Park. He was a newly ordained Swedish minister and they eventually settled in Kingsburg where he was one of the 1st Swedish ministers in Kingsburg. They also had orchards near the Sun Maid Plant where they raised their family. She was survived by her husband and 7 children: Edith C. Olson, Charles R. Andrews, Godfrey E. Andrews, Mabel P. Andrews, Victor J. Andrews, and Elmer J. Andrews. She was predeceased by her children: Vincent G. Andrews and Sophia C. Tucker.
