Floyd I Bowling, 71, died Wednesday at the Medical Center of Independence. He was born in Knoxville, TN and lived in Independence most of his life.
Mr. Bowling retired in 1968 after 32 years as a welder for Armco Steel Corp.
He was a member of the Sheffield Assembly of God Church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lillian Bowling of the home; a son, Robert E. Bowling of Springfield, MO; a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Stone of Passaic, MO; a step-daughter, Mrs. Norine Carr of Independence, MO; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Carey; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at the Ott and Mitchell Chapel; burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
