VISTA ­­ Leroy Mathew Brown, 97, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, in Oceanside.

Born April 6, 1908, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in North County for 24 years. He was a quality assurance inspector for Ingersoll-Rand. Leroy or "Roy" as he was often called was a wonderful man and lived a full and happy life. He had so many stories to tell about, he was an amazing man. When his wife Anna Mae "Jane" took ill and was put into a home ,Roy would visit her almost every day. Sometimes even taking a taxi if he did not have a ride. We miss him so much.

Mr. Browns death was soon followed by his dearly beloved wife, Anna Mae Brown of Vista on October 14th 2006. Leroy is survived by; sons George Brown of Northampton, Pa., and Edward Brown of Tobyhanna, Pa.; daughter Lois Kelly of Encinitas; brother Walter Brown of Piscataway, N.J.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
