Obit. Ronald W. Bloss, 54, of Slater, died Wednesday, Sept 27, 1995, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept.30 at Welker Funeral Home in Slater. Revs. Charles Leathers, Jim Palmisano and Dale Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Cooperative Sheltered Workshop. Born March 15, 1941, in Moberly, Mo., he was son of the late Erwin L. and Elsie West Boss. On Oct. 8, 1961, in Bogard, Mo., he married Betty Standley, who survives of the home. He had lived in Slater since 1983, moving from Carroll County, Mo., and he was a member of the Marshall RLDS church. He was employed as a barber for 38 years and later worked as a dispatcher for the city of Slater. He was a volunteer for the Cooperative Sheltered Workshop. Additional survivors include a son, Micheal Bloss of Kansas City, Mo. and a daughter, Jennifer Bloss of St.Louis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother.
