Mrs. Willie "Bill" (Parrish) Barr, age 96, of Atlanta, La., passed away Monday, October 9, 2006, at the Winnfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Winnfield, La. Mrs. Barr was retired from the Winn Parish School Board after over thirty years of service and was a member of the Atlanta Baptist Church. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Retired Teacher's Association, and the AARP.
She was the daughter of the late Gillam Parrish and the late Maneta (Hicks) Parrish.
She is survived by her
Two Sons, James W. Barr, Jr. and wife Neva of Winnfield, La. Jack H. Barr and wife Gaylen of Shreveport, La.
Four Sisters, Edith P. Durrant of Atlanta, La. Mary Evelyn Geiger of Shreveport, La. Louise P. Verver of Slidell, La. Gloria Nell P. White of Shreveport, La.

Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2006 and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Friends may also visit with the family at the Atlanta Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 11, from 1:00 PM until service time. Funeral services will be at the Atlanta Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2006 , with Dr. Ray Teal and Rev. Matt Endris officiating. Interment will be at the Garden Of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, La.
