My great-grandfather, Ernest Edgar "Ed" Adams, was the son of Granville Parker Adams (son of George F. Adams and Louisa L. Wright) and Ida Mae Cole (daughter of Albert Newton Cole and his first wife Judith "Juda" A. Maxey). He married Lillie Mae Lowery Apr. 19, 1913 in Holdenville, Bilby Twp, Hughes Co., OK. They had five children: Dicie, Velma, Frank, Edward and Cecil. I do not remember him, but mother had wonderful memories of her visits to her grandparents' house as a child. Ima is the 2nd-great granddaughter of Zachary/Zacheus Cole who served as a Virginia soldier in McFarland's Company in Washington and Montgomery counties, VA during the American Revolution.
