He immigrated to the United States in 1904, sending for his family in 1906. The family lived in Lincoln, Nebraska before moving to Los Angeles, California. Morris and Sophie were the parents of Becky, Herman, Sarah Emma, Fannie, Louis, Jean, Sarah Winifred, and Samuel.
