James Albert Brintle came to Okla with his father & participated in land run of 19 April 1892.
Along with them came thier daughter Iva Moad.
They settled on the NW 1/4 Sec. 27. TS/8N Range 14 Westof Indian Meridan in Washita County, Indian Territory { Okla}
He later filed on whatis known as the Foss Place 5/2 SW/4 T 24-11N-19W Sec. T5 Range of Indian Meridam, In Washita County, Okla,
The family still owens some oil rights from this land.
Lived in a Dugout for many years. All the children were born in this dugout.
James Albert & Ella & thier first child Iva came to Indian Territory & joined other members of the Brintle Family in taking part of the land run on the cheyenne arapaho reservation on 19 Apr 1892. They settled on the NW 1/4, Section 27, Tship 8 N. Range 14 W. of the Indian Meridian in washita County, Okla Territory across the road from the Read Farm.
He helped build the Mount Vernon Church across the road from his farm in 1900.
According to Jerry Moad, James Albert later filed on what is known as the Foss Place. The family is said to owned some oil rights there/ This property may be in some way connected to Gladds Johnson , Shirley Brintle wife. Her family lived near Foss, Also Shirley taught school near Foss for a time.
