He was united in marriage to Wilma Dean McKinney Sept. 6, 1944 and to this union four sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Chloe.
Mr. Holder grew up in the Yukon and Big Creek area. He later worked and lived in Peoria, Ill. In 1958, he and Wilma Dean and their boys moved to Houston where he operated a roofing business. For the past 22 years he had lived on Big Creek where he had been involved in the dairy business.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Dean of the home; four sons, Terry of Willow Springs, Larry of Springfield, Nick of Raymondville and Don of Yukon; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Blanche Swearengin of Ash Grove, Gertrude Coons of Hutchison, Kan. and Donna Armfield of Ballwin and two brothers, Ervin of Eldon and Kenneth of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 7 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Sadie Miles and the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial was in the Big Creek Cemetery.
