CHARLES W. CURTIS IS CALLED BY DEATH

Sabina Man Dies in House Where He Was Born

Eight-three years ago, Charles W. Curtis was born in Sabina. Thursday, Charles W. Curtis died in that same house. He had lived there all of his life.
Until about three weeks ago, he had been in what his friends considered exceptionally good health. Then he suffered a heart attack. A trained nurse was called in to take care of him because his wife had died about 10 years ago, and he lived alone, except for Miss Mabel Fristo and C. W. Brewer who had taken rooms in the house. Only his nurse was with him at the end.
Charles Curtis was one of the prominent men of the Sabina community. He had been for year. He had devoted much of his life to farming but retired from active work several years ago.
His closest relative is his niece, Mrs. Ed L. Tharp, of Columbus. Her husband was formerly of Washington C. H. where his mother, Mrs. Minnie Tharp, brother, R. Burris Tharp and sister, Mrs. Minetta Ramsay, now live.
He was a birthright member of the Friends Church and Rev. I. Nick Jones, the church pastor, will conduct the funeral services at the Littleton Funeral Home in Sabina Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial is to be in the cemetery at Wilmington.
