MRS. ELIZABETH WARNER BASSETT

Mary Elizabeth Warner was born at Chapenville, New York, on October 10, 1842, and died at her residence in Iola, Kansas, on June 21 1930, at the age of 87 years, 8 months, and 11 days. With her parents she moved to Michigan when she was eight years old, and from there ot Ohio where on October 10, 1861 she was united in marriage with David L. Bassett. They came to Iola in 1877. Into this home there were born three daughters and one son. The son and one daughter preceded their mother in death. At an early age she united with the Baptist church, and during her active years she was know for her faithfulness. She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Mrs. Lora L. Norton, of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Hattie Dennison, of Iola, Kansas. Funeral services were held at the Sleeper Service Room, and were conducted by Rev. J.H. Sowerby, D.D., pastor
of the First Baptist church.
