CLEVELAND - Anna Adalaid Curtis Allred, born April 6, 1917 on Cedar Mountain in Cleveland, passed away May 8, 2004 at her home.
Anna is the daughter of Guy and Elloweas Bradley Curtis. She married Doyle Lawayne Allred of Cleveland on Feb. 3, 1936, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Anna raised eight children and many others who have always come back. She loved to crochet, sew, cook and quilt.
She was always at Doyle's side on the farm or working with cows and riding horses. Her family was her pride and joy, with her eternal companion by her side. Their greatest accomplishment together was Nielson and Allred Rodeo Stock, where they traveled throughout the state and were honored at the Black Diamond Stampede and Cleveland Days as grand marshals.
We now say goodbye to a legend and a dear friend whose unconditional love will live in our hearts forever. Anna will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Patsy) Allred, Cleveland; Royce (Elaine) Allred, Cleveland; Bill (Dixie) Allred, Cleveland; Roana (Bus) Rich, Cleveland; Arch (Marilyn) Allred, Cleveland; Reba (Marvin) Hansen, Elmo; Pat Allred, Ferron; Leta (David) Robertson, Orangeville; and Duane (Amy) Cowley, Nevada; 50 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Doyle; parents; two brothers, five sisters; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at the Cleveland LDS Chapel. A viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial Cleveland Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
