Mrs. Stewart Dies after Brief Illness
Mrs. Mary Edna Stewart, age 77, of Quitman, died Thursday, January 3 at her home following a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 5 in the Antioch Presbyterian Church. Dr. Lowel Reichardt and Rev. H. S. Johnson conducted the services.
Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include three sons, Glen Stewart of Santa Cruze, Calif., LaDell Stewart of Fresno, Calif., and James H. Stewart of Quitman;
Two daughters, Mrs. Marie McMillan of Quitman and Mrs. Barbara Warren of Jacksonville, Texas; one brother, Cullin Hinton of Simsboro;
Three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Holstead of Ruston, Mrs. Belle Alexander of Quitman and Mrs. Kate Simpson of Sulphur; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were Jerry Hanes, Lavon Hinton, DeLee Cavitt, Paul Gresham, Clifton Shows and David Sanders.
