Brackenridge
Marilyn D. Adams, 62, of Brackenridge, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, in UPMC St. Margaret Memorial Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 10, 1944, in Harrison to the late Joseph and Mary Svitek Krumenacker and lived her entire life in Brackenridge.
Mrs. Adams graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1962 and was a homemaker; office manager of Teeks Shoes and Central Office, New Kensington, and owner of Marilyn's Country Store, Saxonburg, for eight years.
She was a former member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Natrona, and a Harrison Meals-on-Wheels volunteer and walked in the Race for the Cure.
Mrs. Adams enjoyed gardening, her family and especially her grandchildren.
She was the wife of David J. Adams for 17 years; mother of Thomas J. (Melinda) Davidson, of Wilson, N.C.; Jacqueline D. (Charles) Confer, of Lower Burrell; Jennifer (Mark) Koprivnikar, of Cheswick, and Janice (Thomas J.) Blackburn, of Natrona Heights; grandmother of Marc and Amanda Koprivnikar, Ben and Rachel Blackburn, Drew and Charlie Confer and twins Cole and Maddison Davidson; former wife of Thomas S. Davidson, of Brackenridge; daughter-in-law of Bernadette (Rassau) Adams, of Brackenridge; sister of Joseph L. (Lee) Krumenacker III, of Doylestown; Gerald W. (Penelope) Krumenacker, of Summerfield, Fla.; David J. (Cheryl) Krumenacker, of Manchester, N.H.; John P. Krumenacker, of Tarentum; Mark T. (Barbara) Krumenacker, of Natrona Heights, and Yvette (Joseph F.) Kowal Jr., of Leechburg.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Carol Goldscheitter and an infant brother, Dennis Krumenacker.
Relatives and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First United Presbyterian Church, Tarentum, with the Rev. Philip A. Beck, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
