John Reed Allen Born on Sept 2,1909, Son of Benjamin Franklin an Alice Allen. A native of TX. Born in Stonewall County near Aspermont. The Allen family went to Norman Oklahoma during his youth and later moved to Ramona Oklahoma. Where he completed his education. He worked as a cowboy and later was employed at Mullendore Ranch I Osage Co. Oklahoma. He married the former Hazel Lee O'dell on Aug. 24, 1936. They moved to Fairfax Okla in 1939 an remained there until 1941. He was employed at Douglas Aircraft during World War II. The Allens moved their present rural Ochelata Ranch home in 1951, when he joined Reda Pump as a machinist. He retired in 1968. Mr. Allen was a member of the First Babtist Church of Ochelata Okla. Surviving Allen are his wife of the home; one son Benne Joe Allen & wife Dixie of Ochelata; Three daughters, Ms Clifford(Faye) Louise)Elam, of Owasso, Mrs. Jack(Ruby Ann)Smith, of Tulsa, and Mrs. Kenneth(Judy)Jimison of Owasso: one sister Katie Allen, of Mariposa Calif., two half-sisters, Mrs. Betty Jo Fiddler and Mrs. Kenneth (Iris) Harris, both of Ramona Okla.; one half brother Rafeal watts, of Oklahoma City Okla.: eight grandkids and eight great grandkids.
