HEART ATTACK FATAL TO CURTIS BRYAN BILLUPS
Curtis Bryan Billups, son of Samuel and Mattie (Wiseman) Billups was born Feb. 17, 1906 near Keytesville, and departed this life Jan. 4, 1955 at the age of 48 years, 10 months and 18 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Marie Gant Sept. 7, 1934. To this union was born four children. He and his wife united with the Baptist church in Keytesville in 1941. He was a kind and loving husband and father and had many friends.
The community was shocked by his sudden passing as he was suddenly ill by a heart attack while he was on the street Tuesday afternoon. He passed away soon after returning to his home about 4 o'clock.
He spent most of his life in the Keytesville community and will sadly be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Billups' mother and an infant sister preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and children of the home, an aged father and step-mother, and number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Surviving are his wife and four children, Donald, Lewis, Mattie Lee, and Linda, and his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Sam Billups, all of the home.
A large group of relatives and friends from out of town attended the funeral.
