Note: The Slaughters Creek cemetery is located on a mountain ridge in Chelyan. During the construction of the the West Virginia Turnpike in 1952, part of that mountain ridge had to be removed to accommodate the construction of the Chelyan off ramp. A number of bodies buried there were disinterred and relocated to other cemeteries and to my knowledge there is no list that I know of naming those who were relocated.
