Edward Anthony Walsh was my Grandfather. He really was someone very special. He was the oldest of seven children. He worked hard his entire life, first supporting his parents and brothers and sister and then his own family.

He was a union carpenter and a lot of the buildings he helped to build are still standing today.

Edward married Florence Phelps on September 12, 1936 and they were married for almost 46 years. They had six children: Florence, Patricia, Edward III, William, Michael, and MaryIda, who was a surprise baby. Their daughter, Florence got married and at the reception, my Grandmother, Florence, announced she was expecting another baby. One thing I found amusing about their offspring, was that they had three boys and three girls. All three boys are left-handed and all three girls are right-handed.

He had worked hard his entire life and than retired at the age of 65. Not long after, he became very ill and had a stroke. Sometime after that he was diagnosed with Cancer of the blood. He put up a brave fight for a number of years and then he succumbed to his illness.

He was loved and adored by his entire family and always will be.

A Special Thank You To In Memory of My Daughter Pamela Roberts For Sponsoring My Grandfather's Memorial Site.

Also, a Special Thank You To The Bull For The Photos From The Cemetary. I Really Appreciate Your Dedication and Hard Work.
