Mrs. Mattie Thompson dies after lengthy illness
Ms. Mattie Adeal Thompson, age 65, of Jonesboro, died Thursday morning, February 15, 1990, in the Jackson Parish Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Thompson was a native of Ansley, and was a homemaker.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 PM Friday, February 16, in the Antioch Cemetery near Quitman. Rev. J. W. Kennedy conducted the services.
Burial was under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Martiel Cathey and Mrs. Lucille Brown, both of Jonesboro.
Pallbearers were Gene Merrigan, Charles Ray Porter, Randy Robinson, James D. Vail, Martin Gilbert and Dan Gilbert.
