Obituary
Ada May Adams was born at Brookville, Cooper County, Mo. May 1, 1878, and departed this life May 26, 1918, at the age of 45 years and 25 days. The fourth child of John and Eliza Ann Adams, her father , John Adams being a native of Jackson County, Illinois, was married to Eliza Ann Vaughn,
a native of Sullivan County, Mo. The parents preceded her to the better world several years ago.
Ada May grew to young woman hood in Clinton County, Mo. and moved from there with her parents to Cass County, Mo. where at the age of sixteen years she was married on the 12th day of May, 1889, to Wm. H. Adams also a native of Sullivan County, Missouri. To this union were born seven children, five boys, Harry B., Roy D., Edward M. and John Quincy, all of this County; and Clay, who died at the
age of three years, and two girls, Margaret Elizabeth at home and Rosa Ella who died several years ago at the age of twelve years. Besides the children mentioned she leaves to mourn her loss the devoted husband and father. and a step son Chas. R. Adams, and four step grand children. Also a sister, Mrs. Levi Fisk of Hominy, Oklahoma, and two brothers, Harvie Adams also of Hominy, Oklahoma, and Ora Adams of Kansas City, Mo., besides a number of other relatives and a host of friends. The family made thier home in Cass County, Mo. until the spring of 1907, when they came to Sheridan County, Kan., where they have lived continuously, except eighteen months they spent in Hominy, Oklahoma.
